Visit Grosse Île from Quebec City!
Croisières AML and Croisières Lachance were pleased to announce, in 2014, the inauguration of a shuttle service departing from Quebec City to visit Grosse Île, in collaboration with Parks Canada, the Quebec City Tourism Office, Tourisme Chaudière-Appalaches and Old Quebec Tours.
Offered daily, this new package provides tourists with a one-day excursion from Quebec City to Berthier-sur-Mer by bus and then to Grosse-Île aboard a Croisières Lachance ship.
Departing from Place D'Armes or Lévis, hop on a bus and let us take you to Berthier-sur-Mer for a discovery cruise of Grosse-Île. Discover the fascinating history of this region. Initially a human quarantine station to counter epidemics, Grosse-Île was later an experimental military base where bacteriological warfare experiences were conducted in secret.
Captains Lachance will lead the passengers on this historical journey while presenting the numerous attractions and anecdotes of the archipelago. The Parks Canada guides will reveal the mysteries and secrets of Quarantine Island. You can either visit on foot or on board a train.
