  • Access for people with reduced mobility

    Manual wheelchairs and Motorized Mobility Aids (MMA)
    Motorized wheelchairs, scooters, quadcopters

    • For safety reasons, the maximum number of individuals using a manual wheelchair, or a Motorized Mobility Aid (MMA) is limited to ten (10), with a maximum number of three (3) persons using MMAs;
    • Since additional crew members must be on the ship for safety reasons and accommodation purposes, it is necessary for persons using manual wheelchairs or an MMAs to make a reservation at least 48 hours in advance and to specify the type of equipment used and other relevant details to the AML agent at the time of reservation. Please note that where return buses are made available to passengers, they cannot accommodate MMAs at this time;
    • Croisières AML may make an exception to the above rule if the passenger using an MMA arrives at the boarding dock without a reservation and if the number of crew members on the ship is sufficient to ensure property safety of both the passenger and the crew members ;
    • Certain conditions may restrict accessibility for a person using an MMA, such as the unavailability of deck C or inadequate water levels for safe use of the boarding ramp.
    • Please note that due to circumstances beyond our control, access to manual wheelchairs and MMAs are not available on our long-haul cruises between Montreal and Quebec City, between Quebec City and Tadoussac or between Chicoutimi and Tadoussac at this time. Moreover, due to a dock change, access to MMAs will not be available on the 7:00 PM cruise departures (guided cruise and DJ & cocktail cruise).

    Persons with reduced mobility without wheelchairs

    • Boats accessible at all times;
    • Assistance in moving the passenger from the moment of arrival at the bridge or before, depending on the passenger's needs.
