Come aboard and explore the island at your leisure! Whether by bicycle or on foot, immerse yourself in the history and highlights of this quarantine site, as well as the landscapes and natural environment of Grosse-Île.
Along your journey, you will have access to several historical buildings and exhibitions. You will also encounter characters and Parks Canada guides telling you the fascinating story of this quarantine station, which welcomed hundreds of thousands of immigrants between 1832 and 1937.
Audio-guided tour
You can visit Grosse-Île using the Parks Canada mobile app. We recommend downloading it here before your departure. A map of the tour is available within the app.
Bike option
You can bring your bike with you (reservation required, limited spots available). The route is 4.5 km round trip and the road is gravel, so wearing a helmet is recommended.
You must bring your bike.
Please note that some areas are not accessible to bikes and there are no electric bike charging stations on the island.
