5 Activities to Enjoy Spring Break with the Family

With spring break just around the corner, many families are likely asking the same question: What can we do to keep the kids entertained? While we love the classics like bowling or going to the movies, we rolled up our sleeves to find some unique winter activities that will delight everyone and shake up your routine.

Here’s our top 5 ideas to make the most of spring break with your family!

Enjoy Tubing Fun 🛷

If there’s one activity kids absolutely love, it’s tubing. Every winter, it’s a must: a few hours of fresh air, speeding down the slopes, and most importantly, laughing out loud (yes, even the parents!). 😉

This year, we discovered a hidden gem:
Mount Gleason in Victoriaville. It was love at first slide! With multiple tubing lanes, there’s something for everyone, no matter their age. Even toddlers aged 3 and under have their own mini-sliding section. In short, it’s become our new go-to family destination.

Visit the Zoo, Even in Winter! 🐻‍❄️

Who says the zoo is just for summer? Quite the opposite! Some zoos stay open during the winter, offering a magical experience in the heart of the cold season. It’s the perfect opportunity to discover animals that thrive in northern environments.

The Saint-Félicien Zoo is a prime example. It’s home to a variety of animals adapted to the winter climate—polar bears, caribou, arctic wolves, and foxes, to name just a few. Watching them roam freely in a snowy setting is like witnessing a living celebration of Quebec’s winter.

If you’re closer to Montréal, head to the
Ecomuseum Zoo, the island’s only outdoor zoo. There, you’ll marvel at birds of prey, foxes, and lynx playing in the snow while enjoying the stunning winter landscapes. Don’t miss the indoor section, where reptiles, amphibians, and fish await. As a bonus, winter admission fees are more affordable than in summer. We’re sold!
