Discover Trois-Rivières

Have you ever visited Trois-Rivières? What better way to discover this city halfway between Quebec City and Montreal than on a guided cruise aboard the AML Suroit? You will discover the best vantage point there is! Here's a first look at seven attractions you'll visit during the cruise:

Baptiste/Potter Island

This island is the easternmost of the three islands that form the illusion of the three rivers. The Baptiste sawmill, which had an industrial vocation only, occupied the space at the time, hence its name.

Saint-Christophe Island

Saint-Christophe Island is the central island giving access to the two other islands by the Duplessis Bridge. It is also the largest island at the mouth of the Saint-Maurice River. Saint-Christophe Island has two main vocations: military with the naval reserve and recreational with the Métabéroutin Golf Club.

Saint-Quentin Island

From its position between the St. Lawrence River and the Saint-Maurice River, Île Saint-Quentin is behind the illusion of the three rivers. This island was first populated by an Algonquin tribe that grew corn. The ruins of a native palisade can be found here.

Kruger

The main recycler of paper and cardboard, the plant produces newsprint that meets environmental standards. It also manufactures packagings for wine and spirits bottles, produces wind energy, recovers, recycles and produces pulp and paper.

Laviolette Bridge

Named after the city founder, this bridge is emblematic. Its foundation put an end to the ferry operations, who onced linked the South Shore and the North Shore. The bridge then became the only pathway between the two banks of the river, between Quebec City and Montreal.

Mauricie's Hydrographic Network

The river, which rises in the Gouin reservoir and flows into the St. Lawrence River, is interspersed with rapid falls and tributaries. Since its use, Mauricie's Hydrographic network has facilitated the exploitation of raw materials and opened the way to once inaccessible parts of the territory.

Notre-Dame-du-Cap Shrine

The Notre-Dame-du-Cap Shrine is the third largest shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary in North America. More than 500,000 pilgrims and visitors from all over the world visit it each year.
