The observatory

Cheese lovers! The Fromagerie de L’Isle-aux-Grues will surely satisfy you. Its mission is to give cheese the unique taste and colour of the local culture. The milk used to make the cheese comes exclusively from the island, ensuring unique artisan cheese with the specific local taste. A number of cheeses were rewarded including the Riopelle de l’Isle, the Cheddar Île-aux-Grues and the Tomme de Grosse-Île.

This festival highlights the Atlantic sturgeon. It is a very discreet groundfish and is appreciated by many. The Maisons du Grand Héron offers several specialties and exclusive dishes made with sturgeon and local quail to mark the occasion. In June and September, it's an essentiel activity that takes place in the region!
